What is this man doing?

Walking by Avenida Juarez you could find a mysterious man trying to push a bulding. Mister Jorge Matute Remus was an engenieer tapatio who made some significant changes in our state, he was also Mayor of Guadalajara and the University of Guadalajara Director from 1949 to 1953.

This estatue was colocated in his honor in 2002, because of one of his biggest works: in 1950 he moved this 1700 tons building for 17 meters. One building can't get in the way of the extension of an Avenue, isn't it?

Reminds me of a statue of a man who could walk through walls (in fiction!) - Le passe muraille in Paris....this is like the moment before he passes (and gets stuck).

Le passe muraille is here: http://www.ballofdirt.com/media/6451/118478/616325.html
