What is this man doing?
Walking by Avenida Juarez you could find a mysterious man trying to push a bulding. Mister Jorge Matute Remus was an engenieer tapatio who made some significant changes in our state, he was also Mayor of Guadalajara and the University of Guadalajara Director from 1949 to 1953.
This estatue was colocated in his honor in 2002, because of one of his biggest works: in 1950 he moved this 1700 tons building for 17 meters. One building can't get in the way of the extension of an Avenue, isn't it?

As you know, in Mexico most of the inhabitants are catholic. Well, this is why you can find a catholic church almost “in every corner”; well not exactly, but at least too close one from another.
This is San Pedro Church, a block away form the Basilica (the two towers behind it). So there you go, there’s no excuse to avoid the services...only if you DON'T wanna go, hey that's a good one.

To avoid people could walk over the plants (and destroy it), Zapopan goverment decided to put this protection in every little tree on their sidewalks. Usually we do this with some piece of metal web; at least they put some cool design on these.

I am as**ole
Sunday 18 hrs. I was driving by Juarez Avenue, one on the most important here in Guadalajara, and suddenly I saw a boy with two signs walking with a sad face. The words in the cartels said "I am an As**ole". It was funny, all the drivers who were passing by were smiling at. I am sure the boy lost a bet.

Wouldn't be great if we could get to this age and still be friends of an old gal??
These two are talking about the journey of their lives at Jardin Hidalgo, in Tlaquepaque, just in front of the "honour chart" of distinguished handcraftmen of this town.

A "Escuela Patito" is a school that even though has all te requirements to function, doesn't have the quakity enough to teach.
The public university: la Universidad de Guadalajara is unable to cover all the places for students, so if you apply to it and you get rejected and have no money to pay a private (and good) school this is one of your few choices (the other includes just start to work and forget all about a career).
There are zillions of this establishments that provide cheap education, but if you admit you are in one of them, most o enterprises won't hire you.
And yes, just at the same space you find a $3 peso store.

Dancer in the light!!
This guy was making some cool moves at downtown. I know he probably was dancing for his need of money, but let me think he's just doing it for the joy of making people happy as they walk by.

The ice creams that this man is selling are very peculiar because they have a missile shape. They are delicious. Somebody told me that the original molds are from Italy and were brought to Guadalajara in the 30s, but I am not sure about it.
It is easy to find the sellers of this ice creams close to the downtown. The flavors are: Vanilla, Nut and sometimes chocolate. The vanilla ones have a jam of strawberry.

Vuela, vuela (fly, fly)
I capture this doves outside San Francisco Church in downtown GDL. For a moment I just stop to think how many had seen this exact scene... I guess long time ago someone did it for sure. To honour them, a picture of those kind of scenes that no matter what will always be well received.

Guadalajara has mainly only two seasons: rain or not rain. Winter is not so cold, last time we have snow was about 1997, after 100 years since last one. It was a fenomenom and people enjoyed.
But rain, well, that is another subject. When rain we mean rain!!, streets full of water and broken trees. The good thing about rain it is almost always at night, and also helps to have our forest green. Also you can catch a nice rainbow like this.
