Alcalde Avenue

Just one block away from this spot, the Alcalde Avenue is known as "16 de Septiembre Avenue".

Lack of imagination at naming the streets?? I dunno, but in GDL is very common to be on changing street names.
Does it happen the same on your cities?

I noticed that when trying to get directions in Guad. But in many areas there ARE no street signs so it didn't make much difference! Here in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, it's avery common practice for streets to change names at some point or even have two names for the same stretch of road!

I can't think of any streets in Sydney with dates as their name. We tend not to recognise significant events that way. But streets certainly change name along their length!

Finally Internet (Because I can have Internet only the weekend and the public holidays), I can visit your blog. This weekend I present Martel in version black and white. I prefer the photographs in b&w and you?

That i so (sadly) true, street signs used to chenage with every administration, so, some of then are just torn away but never replaced.

And you hace no idea of how many streets are called exactly with the same date!! Lack of imagination?
