This woman here is selling flowers, as you can see, but these are not for ornament, you can eat them. Squash flowers or Flores de calabaza, ancient food in Mexico, before Colombus.

I have seen a lot more edible flowers in fancy cuisine here, so why not there? A great photo and capture of local flavour!

They are eaten in the south of France too where they are considered a delicacy. Is this the balcony of some public building or of private apartments? Is she going to knock on all doors or walk right in ?
